The Bench · system map · live since 9 Oct 2026

Always available IRL

The Bench, on your wrist. Press one button and say what’s on your mind: Claude answers out loud in about a second, or files it straight into your own system. No phone to unlock, no app to open, no screen to get lost in. And it never sends, buys or deletes anything on its own.

A round black smartwatch. On screen, a question: “What’s on my plate this morning?” and the spoken answer: “Two things. Call Dana back about the venue, then send Sam the draft before noon.”

What Claude gives the watch

What you could say to the watch, service by service. Each service is connected once, with a one-time “allow access” from your phone or computer, never a login on the watch.

A round black smartwatch. On screen, a question: “What’s on my plate this morning?” and the spoken answer: “Two things. Call Dana back about the venue, then send Sam the draft before noon.”

Limits to plan around

  • Nothing set up inside claude.ai is reachable with an API key: Projects, chat memory, connectors, claude.ai skills and artifact pages like the Bench. That’s why the Bench needs email in and a read-only copy out.
  • A Claude subscription can’t run the watch. Third-party apps can’t use a claude.ai login; each wearer needs a separate API account with billing. It works with your Anthropic API key.
  • The name needs permission. Anthropic’s terms require written permission to use “Claude” in a product name or logo, so the watch isn’t named after it.
  • Beta means it can change. Tool connections (MCP) and Managed Agents are in beta. Fine to build on; expect occasional changes.
